I bought this bracelet when I was 15 and beginning to get into ‘good’ music. For me, it was a symbol (to my naive teenage mind) of what I wanted to be, to look like, and to be seen as. Also, I used to self harm and this was one of the bracelets I wore everyday for several years to hide it.

I feel I can give up this bracelet now purely from seeing this project and the other items people have donated. Otherwise I would have kept this with me forever. It would seem wrong somehow to throw it away but, to give it away, it serves a new purpose. B
