I didn’t see my daughter for the first 9 months of her life and it took a 3 year court battle to be recognised as her dad and to make sure I could be a part of her life. When I first started seeing her in a contact centre, I would find her hair clips and hair bands in my pockets and I would leave them there and play with them – it was the only connection to her I had.

Now I see her every week and I’m collecting lots more!! Robin
