This guitar pick showed up in my studio somehow – I don’t know how, I don’t play computer games. Anyway, it frequently became the only guitar pick I could find, and so is used throughout my recordings. Finally, during a gig at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on the South Bank, the pick’s amateur status was revealed as it crumbled in my hand half way through a suitably Guitar Hero moment, leaving me with nothing but my bleeding fingers to complete the song. I have guarded its remains for a while – time to let it go.
